While staying at this pet-friendly Morganton, North Carolina hotel, off I-40, guests may wish to visit the Linville Caverns (a 45 minute drive) and explore the splendour and wonders within Humpback Mountain. 5 minutes from the caverns is the Linville Falls spectacular three-tiered waterfall plunging into the Linville Gorge, the ‘Grand Canyon of the southern Appalachians' from which they can drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hickory, 20 minutes down the I-40, is rich in historic buildings such as Propst House, Maple Grove and Harper House.
